Kannan Srinivasan is one of the most respected and sought-after experts in Oracle Federal Financials (OFF), bringing more than two decades of leadership in federal financial management systems, enterprise software development, and cloud-based transformation. With a career spanning 24 years of continuous involvement in Oracle’s evolving federal financial products, he has shaped the capabilities, architecture, and adoption of OFF across the U.S. government.

Kannan began his career in the United States working on Oracle’s emerging Federal Financials project when software was still being installed from floppy disks and custom drivers were the norm. He joined Oracle in 1997 and quickly advanced to Senior Apps Engineer, then Development Lead and Development Manager for OFF. He played a direct role in securing the product’s federal certification in 1999 and helped guide its rapid expansion throughout federal agencies during the following decades. His collaboration with global development teams—including helping establish one of Oracle’s earliest development centers in Hyderabad—strengthened the scale and sustainability of the OFF product line. 

Throughout his career, he has worked alongside major public-sector organizations to troubleshoot complex implementation challenges, support large-scale system deployments, and prepare federal financial environments for evolving technologies. His leadership guided OFF through multiple Oracle releases (10g, 11, 11i, R12) and through major architectural shifts such as Network Computing Architecture and the transition toward cloud-ready financial systems.
